A Walk, Along Eastern Avenue

There is something strange and at the same time enticing about Eastern Avenue.

On hot summer days it has this open airiness about it…and is spotted with all sorts of industrial architectural masterpieces that go unnoticed.

Maybe it’s the railway lines, or the highway ramps, or maybe it’s the glimpses into abandoned port lands covered in dense plant growth.

It is abandoned…yet it shouldn’t be.
It seems forgotten by developers and residents…yet it shouldn’t be.

When I first arrived from Greece- this was what Toronto was for me…industrial, cold, bright, green, with a desolate port…I find myself feeling nostalgic whenever I go for long walks with my dog along this strip of forgotten Toronto.
